人生其實很漫長，
但我們總是趕著年輕時去完成一切..

現代的人，
大多可以活到幾歲呢？
或許只要在發展中以上的國家，
活到個七八十歲，或者更多，
已經是個在正常不過的事情，

那麼，
我們什麼時候，
會離開家裡呢？
可能是18歲那年，
我們離家去讀書，
可能是22歲那年，
我們大學畢業，
可能是25歲那年，
我們開始想要自己的人生，

無論是幾歲，
只要過了18歲到了20歲，
你就成長為一個長大的人，
然後你的人生，
必定，
還有50年或者更多的年數，
等著你去過完，

但生活在台灣這塊土地的我們，
卻總愛在30歲，頂多40歲前，
做完所有的事情，
這樣，
是否會太急？

幾年前，
我陸續參加過兩個好朋友的兩場婚禮，
在這兩場婚禮中的夫妻雙方，
全都是35歲以上的男男女女，
你說，
這樣會太晚嗎？
我想很多人會嫌晚...

但你如果把長長的人生攤開來看，
你就會發現，那還是在非常前端發生的事情，
或許以優生學的角度來看，
會發現，
32歲是生小孩的最佳時光，
但沒有人告訴你，
不能先生小孩在結婚，
或是先生小孩在戀愛，
在國外，
也有很多人到了40或者是更多歲數，
才找到自己的另一半，像是電影班傑明，
或者是作家吳淡如，不也是最近才懷孕，

我想說的是，
不要擔心，
不要急迫，
不要讓外界的紛紛擾擾去打亂你的腳步，
現在沒有戀人，
現在還沒結婚，
現在還沒生小孩，
那又如何，
畢竟，
你不會知道，
你會有幾段婚姻，
會不會在下個轉角遇到真愛，
又或者在下次戀情中閃電結婚，

你也永遠不會知道，
你最後嫁的人，
是不是小時候隔壁的小英，
戀愛的對象，
未來會不會包括，
那個你最討厭的John，
妳更不可能知道，
18歲嫁的那個女生，
跟38歲的再婚，
哪個才是讓你真正幸福的人，
是的，
妳永遠不會知道，因為你不是神，
是的，
妳的人生還很長，
不如放下心來，
好好的準備好自己，
讓自己做最好的準備，

人生其實很漫長，

只要攤開來看，
就發現，
我們太急了，
有句話說：「欲速則不達。」
